Coastal Landscapes

Most of my coastal Landscape pictures are taken in Yorkshire, on the 'East Coast'. This usually means an early start to catch the best available lighting conditions. 'Thornwick Bay' and 'Saltwick bay' have both been photographed countless times before, but because of the interesting geology, such as the seastack 'Black Nab' at Saltwick Bay, or the Chalk Cliffs at Bempton and Flamborough, and also the drama of this rugged coastline, there are still a wealth of photo opportunities to be had.

Also included here are some recent images from my visits to 'The Gower Peninsula' and 'The Glamorgan Heritage Coastline' of South Wales. The West Coast of The U.K tends to be much craggier than the East coast, with dramatic Carboniforous Limestone Cliffs towering above the beautiful Atlantic facing sandy bays. These provide perfect photographic subject matter at the right times of year and in the right lighting conditions.
